About our speaker:

As an early years’ educator with over 27 years of experience, I continue to foster my passion for creativity and playfulness in education. As educators in a growing and changing professional learning community, we are consistently aware of emerging research and standards about best practices that positively impact student learning.

I truly value and believe that all teachers, caretakers and educational supporters of children’s learning need professional development, including mentorship and collaboration, to support best-practice planning and development in our early years’ programmes.

There needs to be a continuous link among university teaching, the school’s curriculum, early years learning, and staff development. As an instructional coach/college supervisor, I served as the link, facilitating and guiding content-focused professional development embedded throughout the school day and curriculum. Playful education and sustainable skills will enable educators to further develop their teaching skills, support early years services, while helping children and young people thrive in this ever-changing world. I hope this workshop will further support you and give you some creative ideas to take back to your educational setting.

The event will be in-person at Aberdeen University and also will be available as a hybrid session, so people can attend remotely.
